I've been following GWAR around the Philadelphia\New Jersey area since the late 90's. They put on the best stage show I've EVER seen.
I just saw them on 2/18/11 (which also happens to be my birthday) at the Crocodile Rock in Allentown PA (a good 1 1/2 hours from where I live). I was a little worried at first as I know the Philly crowds are BRUTAL in the pit. But, after the 4th (yes, 4th) opening band (who was actually pretty good, Mobile Deathcamp, check 'em out)I started to see the crowd wasn't as lame as I expected it to be!
Mosh pits were forming everywhere I looked, and i loved it!
I had to get out of the pit at one point because I could hardly breath, but that didn't stop me from pushing my way back in.
This is definitely one of my favorite shows to go to. I brought my friend who has never been to a GWAR concert and now she's hooked.
I can't wait for them to come back to the Electric factory and kick some Philly ass!!!!!!!
